Possible Supernatural Spin-offs (opinion)

After fifteen seasons, Supernatural will finally come to an end next year. But is it really the end? While Jared and Jensen will want to take on other roles, a spin-off series might be enough to keep fans from trying to make a deal with a crossroads demon,

The web series, Ghostfacers wasn’t in the same league as Supernatural. Bloodlines was never going to work. The characters weren’t strong enough and I couldn’t have cared less about any of them. I didn’t know them the same way I know (and like) some of the reoccurring characters, which I think is the key to a successful spin-off series. Wayward Sisters had something because the characters were established already, so I was surprised (and disappointed) when it didn’t get the go ahead.

So, what would work as a potential spin-off series? Between Sam and Dean, they’ve left behind quite a few women and it’s not so far-fetched that there may have children they don’t know about. I’m still not convinced that Ben isn’t Deans son. Maybe Supernatural: The Next Generation could be a series about the hunter children (now in their teens) as they follow in the footsteps of their fathers.

Aside from the brothers, Castiel is my favourite character and has a large fan-base, so perhaps he could star in his own series. This would also leave the door open for Jared, Jensen and some of the…
